An interviewer asked Boris Johnson about his Incredible Hulk remarks and his reaction was cringe worthy

As Tory Party conference continues, Boris Johnson has been doing media interviews to defend his leadership as he battles to put out various crises.

Speaking to Radio 4's Today Programme, Johnson was forced to deny allegations that he touched journalist Charlotte Edwardes without her consent. He was also pressed on comments his sister had made about him and the likelihood that he will face a confidence vote on his leadership in the coming days.

Johnson was then questioned by the BBC show about comparisons he made between himself and the Incredible Hulk. He was asked:

You compare yourself to the Incredible Hulk. It's a prime ministerial first, if I may say so. The Incredible Hulk always escapes no matter how tightly bound he seemed to be.

You're saying: 'It doesn't matter that there's a law, I, Boris Johnson have never played by the rules and I'm not playing by this rule.

After laughing while the presenter read him the quote of his own words, the PM said:

That's not a conclusion you can draw from that particular metaphor.

All I'm saying is I think it would be a mistake to keep the UK bound in beyond the time that people want to come out.

Alrighty then. That certainly clears the "Hulk" metaphor up...

And here was us thinking it was because the Hulk's known for being wildly out of control... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .
