Boris Johnson claims he won't ask for a Brexit extension and people are very confused

MPs narrowly passed the Letwin amendment by a majority of 16 votes.

The intention is to try and force a delay by requiring Johnson to request an extension in order to put in place the necessary legislation before exiting the EU.

Yet the prime minister has stated he will not negotiate a delay with the EU.

Many are understandably confused by how this can possibly be legal.

It seems there's no clear answer though, and it's all a bizarre democratic and legal grey area.

Theresa May isn't looking so bad any more...
