A petition calling for the impeachment of Donald Trump has been signed by over 850,000 people as of Monday morning.

The petition, set up by Harvard Law professor Lawrence Lessig, along with Harvard professor Tamara Piety, cites his failure to divest himself of his businesses following his inauguration as the primary reason Donald Trump should be impeached, saying he instead intends to:

Profit from the presidency at public expense.

The petition reads:

As of January 20, 2017, President Trump’s refusal to divest from his business interests has placed him in direct violation of the US Constitution’s Foreign Emoluments Clause and on a collision course with the Constitution’s Domestic Emoluments Clause and with the federal STOCK Act.

The President must be held accountable under the law, through the impeachment process, for these serious violations and for this unprecedented level of corruption of the Oval Office.

This is not to mention concerns over his already frequent vacations to Mar-a-Lago and the resignation of his National Security Adviser for denying talking with the Russian ambassador about sanctions prior to Donald Trump's inauguration.

Or the tiebreaking vote of confirmation of Betsy DeVos as Education Secretary by the Vice President - You'll remember that DeVos is a long time and expansive donor to the Republican Party, who believes guns are needed in schools to stop grizzly bears, and who could not answer simple yes or no questions in her confirmation hearing.

A simple little visit to the petition website, impeachdonaldtrumpnow.org, will also tell you the campaign plans to deliver their petition to Congress on Thursday.
