Donald Trump's reaction to Barack Obama's victory in 2012 is a terrifying signal of what's to come

Any followers of Donald Trump's forays into politics could have a sensation of déjà vu on 8 November.

During the third and final televised debate with Hillary Clinton, the Republican refused to say he would accept the election result.

He's spent the last month complaining about 'global elites', and warning about extensive voter fraud.

In the debate in Las Vegas on Wednesday night, Trump was asked whether or not he would accept a Clinton victory. He replied:

I will tell you at the time. I'll keep you in suspense.

In 2012 Barack Obama was re-elected as President of the United States by almost 66 million votes and 332 electoral college votes.

On 7 and 8 November 2012, the days after Obama's victory, Trump, then a Republican figure but not a declared candidate, had this to say:
