East London summed up in one photograph of graffiti

Do you love your life as a dickhead? Are all your friends dickheads too?

That song is an incredible six years old. It predates the term 'hipster', even.

Some particularly inspired graffiti which succinctly defines the Twenty-Something Gentrification Experience™ has been discovered in East London. It reads:

I came,
I saw,
I tried M.D.M.A
My parents bought a flat.

The Londoner who snapped the artwork told indy100 he was out for a walk with his housemate when they came across it on a wall backing onto one of the canals in Hackney.

We agreed it was pretty much the most East London thing we'd ever seen.

We second that.
