Ivanka Trump criticised for staying silent on her dad's antisemitism

Ivanka Trump has come under fire this week for ignoring her father's antisemitism despite being a Modern Orthodox Jew.

Trump's antisemitism comments throughout the years were highlighted by Washington Post Video Editor JM Reiger on Twitter this week:

The situation has worsened this week when Trump said “Where have [the Democratic party] gone where they are defending these two people over the state of Israel? And I think any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat, I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty.” at the end of a meeting with Romanian president Klaus Iohannis.

This caused outrage on social media from those calling the president out for his antisemitic remarks, coupled with Jared and Ivanka's silence over the matter:

Ivanka's last tweet was days ago before the comments were made, congratulating her brother Eric on his new daughter Carolina. Ivanka drew criticism earlier in the week when she tweeted pictures of her idyllic family holiday despite thousands of children still being detained and separated from their parents at the US Southern border. She or her husband Jared have yet to comment on Trump's comments.
