Trump thinks that the supposed 'Obamagate' crime is 'very obvious to everybody'

Donald Trump's new favourite word is 'OBAMAGATE' and according to him, everyone knows exactly what it means.

To put it roughly this is a broad and completely unfounded conspiracy theory that somehow and someway, Barack Obama managed to organise a network to undermine Trump's 2016 campaign and engineer the investigation into his alleged dealings with Russia, which was deemed inconclusive back in 2019.

Quite why the president has decided to bring all this up again is a little beyond us but it could have something to do with a number of top Republicans in Congress telling him that the FBI's investigation was conducted illegally. Oh and he's also conveniently mentioning it a lot when more than 1 million people have been infected with coronavirus in his country, and just after Obama slammed his administration's response.

When he was asked about this supposed Obama crime during his coronavirus press briefing, Trump came up with a very interesting answer.

At the briefing Philp Rucker of the Washington Post said:

In one of your Mother's Day tweets you appeared to accuse president Obama of 'the biggest political crime in American history, by far.'

What crime exactly are you accusing Obama of committing and do you believe the justice department should prosecute him?

Trump's answer wasn't really an answer at all:

Obamagate. It's been going on for a long time. It's been going on even before I was elected and it's a disgrace that it happened and if you look into what's going on and the misinformation that is being released and from what I understand that's only the beginning. Some terrible things happened and it should never be allowed to happen in our country again. You'll see what's going in the next couple of weeks and I wish you would write honestly about it but unfortunately you choose not too.

Rucker probes the president again, who didn't give a very clear answer at all or appear to know what he was talking about, and asked him what the 'specific crime Obama committed'? Trump replied:

You know what the crime is. The crime is very obvious to everybody. All you have to do is read the newspapers, except yours.

Hmmm...look Donald. We really don't know what this supposed crime is and we would be grateful if you could tell us.

Perhaps the good folks on Twitter know what the crime is...

Maybe it was that one bad suit that Obama wore?

Last time we heard, Trump had deployed Batman, Dick Tracy and Sherlock Holmes to investigate the 'crime.'
