Welcome to the restaurant where all the waiters are deaf

As Canada's the National notes, this is the restaurant where "your order will literally fall on deaf ears".

The aptly-named Signs, in Toronto, asks patrons to place their orders using American sign language, with cheat sheets found on the menu.

Owner Anjan Manikumar said he felt inspired to launch the restaurant, the first of its kind, after learning sign language to communicate with a deaf customer at another restaurant he managed.

He said he wants Signs to be a place where "the deaf can work and dine using their language, but also a place for the hearing to learn about the deaf community".
