Dennis Skinner didn't make a joke before the Queen's speech and people are freaking out

Dennis Skinner, also known as the Beast of Bolsover, is a republican Labour MP famed for making jokes about the royal family during the Queen's speech.

His cue to make a quip is when parliamentary official Black Rod arrives at the Commons to summon MPs to listen to the speech. Skinner's been doing it since the 1980s and the tradition has become so popular that a YouTube clip of him trolling the Queen has been viewed more than 100,000 times.

But this year there was no quip - and people feel shortchanged.
