The 45th President of the United States of America has sent another worrying message to the world via Twitter.
Today it's not about collusion with Russia, or taking healthcare away from millions behind closed doors, or refusing to preserve our only planet.
Sadly, it's yet again about his relationship with the press.
He attacked the MSNBC show Morning Joe, hosted by Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, and Willie Geist, which focuses on politics.
Never mind that it took him five minutes to craft the second tweet, many were quick to criticise the President for such vulgar and petulant insults based on appearance.
Many pointed out the President is supposed to be a mature individual, someone to look up to:
@realDonaldTrump Feel better now? Oh man, how sad it must be to have to constantly attack others in a vain attempt… https://t.co/w0b9vUjB8o— Verity Milligan (@Verity Milligan) 1498741258

Never imagined a day when I would think to myself, "it is beneath my dignity to respond to the President of the United States."— Mark Kornblau (@Mark Kornblau) 1498743526

Everybody then made the same joke in relation to First Lady Melania Trump's anti-cyber bullying initiative (which never got off the ground):

The communications director for the First Lady Melania Trump was reported as saying the following in reply to questions from reporters about the Tweet:
.@StephGrisham45: "As the First Lady has stated publicly in the past, when her husband gets attacked, he will punch back 10 times harder."— Jeremy Diamond (@Jeremy Diamond) 1498746055
Which bodes awfully for international diplomatic relations with unstable countries, such as North Korea.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders defended the personal attack by the President on a morning show host as follows:
Here's how Sarah Huckabee Sanders, on Fox News, defended the president's tweets https://t.co/1FX15M8xpY— Bradd Jaffy (@Bradd Jaffy) 1498748860
People pointed out that Trump was no victim, and had made a personal attack over a policy point, despite what his press secretary affirmed:
Criticizing the president's policies or decisions isn't bullying. Hitting someone on their looks and appearance is https://t.co/ZDsTYLIyXU— Jessica Taylor (@Jessica Taylor) 1498747199
And political figures across the aisle criticised the President:
Please just stop. This isn't normal and it's beneath the dignity of your office.— Ben Sasse (@Ben Sasse) 1498745801
Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics, not the greatness of America.— Lindsey Graham (@Lindsey Graham) 1498745704
"It’s incumbent on all of us, then — from the President to Congress on down — to be responsible for our speech." https://t.co/BVVKFll3Sj— Senator Hatch Office (@Senator Hatch Office) 1498743593
Morning Joe host Mika made her view on the tweet clear:

Probably the best way to handle it.
An MSNBC spokesperson said:
It's a sad day for America when the President spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job.
Quite right.
