Ellen DeGeneres has a very inspiring message for that Humans of New York kid

The Humans of New York Facebook page has been flooded with overwhelmingly positive messages following a heartbreaking post from a young boy worried about his sexuality.

The page, which documents the lives of everyday New Yorkers with a photograph and a short quote, made the post on Saturday.

Underneath the photo of a boy in tears, the caption reads: "I'm homosexual and I'm afraid about what my future will be and that people won't like me."

Hundreds of thousands of people have commented, shared and liked the post with people like Hillary Clinton offering words of support.

However, perhaps the most touching note came from television host Ellen DeGeneres who wrote: "Not only will people like you, they'll love you. I just heard of you and I love you already."
