Donald Trump stepped up his Islamophobic rhetoric on Monday night, calling for a ban on all Muslims travelling to the US - but his hatred hasn't always been so.
But here's what he said just two and a half months ago:
Speaking to CNN in September just a few days after failing to correct a supporter who called Barack Obama a Muslim, the Republican frontrunner in the presidential race was asked whether Islam posed a threat to the US.
Here's what he said:
I love the Muslims. I think they're great people.
When asked whether he would consider having a Muslim member of his cabinet or as his vice-president, Trump responded:
Oh absolutely. No problem with that.
And look, here he is opening his golf course at Akoya in Dubai last year. He didn't seem to be so anti-Muslim then:
