If you want to feel the ravages of time, think about how Malcolm in the Middle has been off the air for 11 years.

First gracing our screens in the year 2000, Malcolm in the Middle was a special kind of American show, which to a greater extent than even The Simpsons showed an American family living on the borderline of poverty.

The show often contained surreal elements (Hal rollerblading to 'Funky Town' was the show's zenith), but there was something that resonated about the averageness of Malcolm's family, placing them forever in our hearts and in our memories.

Frankie Muniz, who starred as the titular middle (if you forget the beautiful older brother Francis) sibling, has revealed that due to severe memory loss, he no longer remembers appearing on the show.

While some faces change a great deal from childhood to adulthood, it's interesting to see how much Muniz today resembles his younger and adorable self.

Muniz, now age 31, has had a post-Malcolm career in open wheel racing, and as a drummer.

Here he is way back in the pilot episode of Malcolm in the Middle when Muniz was just thirteen at the time of filming.
