Life may be short, but the three-year wait until the next US election feels like it's going to drag.
Thankfully, there may be a light at the end of the tunnel and that's thanks to Oprah Winfrey.
She may have hinted just (again) that she is running for President in 2020, after sharing a link to a NY Post article backing her candidacy.
She first seriously touched on the idea in an interview with David Rubenstein for his Bloombergtelevision show in December 2016.
She told Rubenstein that she had always denied that she would ever run for public office - but that after the election of Donald Trump, she began to see the Presidency differently and may even be warming to the idea.
She said:
It's clear you don't need government experience to be elected president of the United States.
She continued:
That's what I thought.Â
I thought 'Oh, gee, I don't have the experience, I don't know enough'.Â
And now I'm thinking 'Oh."Â
