Sir Patrick Stewart had an existential breakdown over his penis

This is a little nugget of TV gold that passed us by originally.

Sir Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman appeared on The Graham Norton Show in February to promote the upcoming X-Men film focusing on Wolverine, titled Logan.

A particular exchange, in which Patrick Stewart, knighted by the Queen for services to drama, reveals he is not circumcised as he previously thought, has gone viral on reddit.

He says the discovery began with a disagreement with his wife.

One night with my wife, as you do, we were talking about stuff and I mentioned my circumcision and she said: 'You're not circumcised.'

I said, 'What do you mean? That's ridiculous, I should know.

All my life my mother has told me it was fashionable at the time.'

Hugh Jackman, Wolverine himself, at this point in the story is lost on a sea of giggles and amazement.

I happened to be seeing my doctor the next day for a check-up so while he was down there I said, 'By the way, my wife and I have had a little disagreement, I am circumcised, aren't I?'

He took a closer look and said:

'Not!'
