What do Macaulay Culkin, Jon Bon Jovi and Celine Dion all have in common? They have all been victims of death hoaxes fuelled by the internet. Now an analysis by Jody Sieradzki at Dadaviz looks at the most common ways the internet has killed celebrities.
Sieradzki compiled news reports about celebrity death hoaxes into this chart using a sample of 50. The majority, she found, were likely to die from car accidents but others had (not) fallen off cliffs or overdosed on drugs.
