Shockingly, conservatives’ latest attack on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hasn’t had the effect they were expecting.

The New York congresswoman has faced an onslaught of criticism from the right ever since she was elected in November and a video released on Twitter, showing her dancing while at Boston University, was the weirdest attack yet.

Instead of destroying her career with the revelation she’s good at dancing and has friends, the video prompted an outpouring of support.

Ocasio-Cortez now has nearly two million followers on Twitter and an account dedicated to her dance moves.

And when reporters asked her about the video, she didn’t sound worried about it:

It is not normal for elected officials to have a reputation for dancing well and I'm happy to be one.

It is unsurprising to me that Republicans would think having fun should be disqualifying or illegal.

Last night, she came back with the perfect response.

The video earned her the only endorsement that matters.

And the rest of the Twitter was firmly on her side as well.

Also, if we want to talk about embarrassing politicians, conservatives shouldn’t be throwing shots at anyone…

It really feels like we’ve reached the bottom of barrel with Ocasio-Cortez attacks.

Who knows what conservatives will throw at her next but for now, we're still trying to work out why they're all so obsessed with her.
