Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson broke up and people don’t believe in love anymore

There are few things more beautiful than young love.

But unfortunately, as pop superstar Ariana Grande has found out, there are also few things more fragile or fleeting.

According to reports, Grande’s relationship with Saturday Night Live comic Pete Davidson is over. The couple got engaged after a whirlwind courtship, but have reportedly called things off three months later.

Grande even named a song on her most recent studio album after Davidson.

Naturally, the internet has reacted with great sadness to the end of what was an adorable love story.

People are, to put it mildly, heartbroken.

Given Grande's traumatic recent history, including the death of a former boyfriend and a terrorist attack at her concert in Manchester, her fans are quick to push back against people mocking the short-lived relationship.

So while Grande might be returning to singles-ville, it looks like she can always depend on her fans.
