Ben Shapiro just single-handedly managed to own himself (again) by calling his new book 'The Right Side of History', despite totally dissing the phrase five years ago.
A Twitter user named "gabe" brought all the evidence to the table when he posted a side-by-side screenshot of two tweets Shapiro posted five years apart.
The first one, dated May, 2014 says:
'Right side of history' may be the most morally idiotic phrase of modern times. History is not God, and has no morality.
But earlier in March this year, Shapiro made the big announcement that he published a book, writing:
My new book, 'The Right Side of History' is out today! I'm biased, but I think it's really important. I truly put my heart into it, and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.
The comparison was too much for the internet to handle, as many couldn't help but call Shapiro an expert at "dunkin'" on himself and many glorious memes emerged:
