If you're in need of a read right now that will pick you up, and restore your faith in humanity, then this thread is exactly what you need.

When Rafi D'Angelo was 12 years old, he made his bisexuality public, and he felt that the world had totally turned against him, with things getting so bad that he even, in his darkest moments, he considered ending it all.

However, just then, at one of the most difficult moments of his life, he made an ally, who gave him the strength and validation that he so desperately needed and craved.

Now, many years later after the event, D'Angelo, who now lives in Brooklyn, New York, has taken to Twitter to share his story in an incredible thread.

Taking to the social media site, he wrote:

I wanna tell y'all about a (non-sexual) experience I had with two boys growing up in the church because I still think about them semi-regularly and I wonder what they're up to.

It goes without saying that people on social media loved the thread, and began sharing their responses to it.

We're not crying, you are!
