A 22-year-old model has tragically died in a car accident during a night out.

Bree Keller, who was from Northern Beaches in Sydney, Australia was in a new Nissan GT-R R35, which had been travelling at "considerable speed" when it flipped over and burst into flames last Saturday in Darling Harbour.

She was travelling with Steve and Jeff Nasr at the time, who were also sadly killed during the accident.

Joseph Bagal, who was also in the vehicle, survived but suffered serious burns, broken ribs and cuts.

The Daily Mail report that police remain unsure who was behind the wheel of the car.

An emotional memorial was held for Keller earlier this week, with family and friends in attendance.

Keller, who was perhaps best known worldwide for her bikini modelling, has 20.3k followers on Instagram and was said to be a skilled hairdresser.

Below is the last post she made on the social media platform on 28 August.

Around $11,000 has been raised since Bree's death, with her mother hoping to build a commemorative bench in her daughters favourite park.

Her followers and friends have been posting their own tributes to Bree in the comments on her Instagram and on social media.

Friend Gavin Foord wrote in a Facebook post:

Although I'm not there I am saying farewell from here.

I'm truly blessed to have known you and will look at our time as the best of my life.

My inspiration forever and always.
