Cristiano Ronaldo and host of other sports stars and notable celebrities have taken to social media in the past few days to speak out against the devastating fires currently happening in the Amazon rainforest.
Huge fires have been engulfing the area this week, with more than half of the rainforest said to have been ablaze, causing significant damage to the environment and local ecology.
There have been suggestions that the right-wing, pro-business president of Brazil, Jair Bolsanaro has manufactured the fires by as part of a deforestation drive, with Emmanuel Macron vowing to block any EU trade deals with the South American nation as retaliation.
Bolsonaro has denied any involvement in the fires but it hasn't stopped celebrity activists from voicing their concerns online with the likes of Leonardo Di Caprio and Madonna leading their voices to speak out against the growing disaster.
