On Tuesday the actor Carrie Fisher was added to a collage of deceased celebrities created in the style of the Beatles'Sgt. Pepper album cover.

Artist Chris Barker added the Star Wars actress to the image, following the announcement of her death.

The image, which contains a collection celebrities who have died in 2016, has become an emblem of the year.

Readers have shared the image, which is not for profit, tens of thousands of times.

Barker has asked that in lieu of payment, donations be made to the Jo Cox memorial fund.

Cox, the MP who was murdered in June by a far right extremist features among the other celebrities.

The death of Fisher's mother Debbie Reynolds, a day later, has prompted Barker to once again update the image.

Reynolds was added into the foreground, next to Fisher, who is depicted dressed as her iconic character Princess Leia.

Speaking to indy100 for the second time in as many days, Barker said:

I'm not ruling anything out. Nothing would surprise me now. You can quote me on that.
