Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has been accused of having an affair by a woman from Washington DC, who claims that her husband left her for the Democrat.

This reports come courtesy of a New York Post story where Dr. Beth Mynett said that her political consultant husband left her for Omar, who he had worked for.

According to the Post, Mynett's filings, which were submitted to the DC Superior Court on Tuesday, stated:

The parties physically separated on or about April 7, 2019, when Defendant told Plaintiff that he was romantically involved with and in love with another woman, Ilhan Omar.

Defendant met Rep. Omar while working for her. Although devastated by the betrayal and deceit that preceded his abrupt declaration, Plaintiff told Defendant that she loved him, and was willing to fight for the marriage.

Defendant, however, told her that was not an option for him. It is clear to Plaintiff that her marriage to Defendant is over and that there is no hope of reconciliation.

Omar is yet to offer a formal response to these allegations but according to MSNBC was asked about it during a recent public appearance but she declined to comment.

Although there is no definitive evidence of the alleged affair and the matter will be determined in court, Donald Trump Jr latched on to the story and posted a tweet criticising Omar, accusing the Minnesota congresswoman of taking money from donors and spending it with her "lover" and also touching on a conspiracy theory that she married her brother in order to avoid immigration law.

The president's son wrote:

To summarise, Ilhan Omar took (defrauded?) $$$ from donors who have very little disposable income.

Then she "spent" their cash with her lover, who was married to another woman.

And all of this after speculation that she married her brother to get around U.S. immigration law. YIKES!

The thing that Trump Jr probably didn't consider before tweeting this was that he and his family are hardly angels and people were more than happy to remind him of his and his relatives various embarrassments and other accusations that have been placed against them.
