It's a universally acknowledged truth that suffering from dyslexia can be a difficult obstacle to overcome at school, however there's absolutely no need for it to hold you back from achieving your dreams in life.

Dyslexia is a disorder that's characterised by a trouble with reading, despite having a normal or above average intelligence, it can cause issues with spelling, reading and writing.

Many highly successful people, including Richard Branson, Orlando Bloom and Albert Einstein all had dyslexia, however managed to achieve their full potential.

The fact that the disorder doesn't need to hold you back in life was perfectly summed up by this poem written by a 10-year-old child in year six.

Her astounded teacher Jane Broadis shared the poem on Twitter, and it has since gone viral.

In a tweet, she wrote:

Today in Y6 we looked at poems that could be read forwards & backwards.

I was stunned by this one written by one of my 10 year olds.

Please share - I would love her work to be appreciated further afield. I wonder if it could even find a publisher?

She then added:

The poem, which can be read in either direction, reads:

I am stupid.

Nobody would ever say

I have a talent for words

I was meant to be great.

That is wrong.

I am a failure.

Nobody could ever convince me to think that

I can make it in life.

People online loved the powerful poem, and shared messages of support for those who may be suffering from dyslexia.
