It's fairly safe to say that Eurovision is one of the most unpredictable and 'out there' evenings of TV anyone can ever experience.
So I can say with confidence that no one saw this coming.
During the performance of last year's winner Jamala, a man wearing what appears to be an Australian flag stormed the stage.
He proceeded to have a little dance and then moon millions of viewers around the world.
Not the weirdest dance routine we’ve seen this evening. #Eurovision https://t.co/FaLm7vcRaz— Scott Bryan (@Scott Bryan) 1494712083
Immediately, Twitter was ablaze with gags about the 'impromptu dancer', but people also took note of the flag on his back.
And then, The Simpsons comparisons began.
Oh, God, we've become The Simpsons version of Australia. #Eurovision https://t.co/6ztvVoTsGh— Mark Humphries (@Mark Humphries) 1494712192
And I have to admit, it's quite a coincidence.
I can't believe The Simpsons predicted Eurovision #Eurovision https://t.co/Z88bFLIGrq— Reece (@Reece) 1494712698
No way did the Simpsons call that too???? #Eurovision https://t.co/xsEsv5OpmY— ً (@ً) 1494711922

We all hope this didn't happen afterwards.
