The Conservative party has a three-point lead over Labour according to a new poll from Ipsos MORI for the Evening Standard.

The data shows just 13 per cent of people believe Ed Miliband is ready to be prime minister - compared to 22 per cent just five months ago in June 2014.

Ipsos MORI interviewed 1,011 adults across Britain by telephone for the poll. Their longterm data also shows the Labour leader's collapse in ratings.

And this is how that compares to other Labour leaders.

Mail Online point out that Ed Miliband is more unpopular than Michael Foot was at the same stage in 1983.
