Love Island winners Jack and Dani have split up and the nation is devastated

The reality show power couple of the year have broken up.

Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham have called it quits following just four months of dating after being crowned Love Island winners.

After the show, the couple had done the media circuit and moved in together. They even bought a puppy.

Dani released a statement on Instagram after The Sun broke the story of their break up. She wrote:

Jack and I have sadly decided to part ways. It’s been an incredible six months, and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but we’ve sadly come to the realisation that it’s not meant to be long term.

We both plan to stay friends. I hope you’ll all understand. Love Dani x.

Jack has yet to address the break up publicly.

In the summer millions of people tuned in to Love Island to watch their romantic story unfold, and they can’t deal with the break up.

People are not ok.

Some are in denial.

Others have lost their faith in humanity at the death of what was clearly a True and Real relationship conceived on the reality show.

True love is a lie.

And there's no hope out there for the rest of us.
