What a year it's been for one Mr Kanye West.
Despite releasing a handful of acclaimed albums, the rapper's return to Twitter was chaotic, to say the least.
Then he started to get political and aligned himself with Donald Trump. That's where things started to go really wrong for the 41-year-old.
Not only was he alienating a large majority of his fan base, but his peers also turned against him. Even his family weren't quite sure what was going on.
This all came to a head with his bizarre meeting with Trump at the White House, which seemed to confuse the president as much as everyone else.
Now, it would appear that Kanye has seen the light and has given up on politics.
On Tuesday evening he dramatically announced that he is "distancing himself from politics and completely focusing on being creative".
This came after a series of tweets where Kanye attempted to clarify his stances on several controversial issues that he appears to have supported throughout this year.
However, people still aren't happy with Kanye's sudden U-turn with many claiming that it is already too late.
Others claimed that he has probably noticed how much his sales might have suffered in the past few months.
Of course, there were plenty of jokes.
