Kellyanne Conway appeared on Sean Hannity’s show to talk about Michelle Wolf, whose monologue during the White House Correspondents' Dinner raised some eyebrows.
During the dinner, Wolf predictably made sharp barbs at everyone from Donald Trump to White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
She made jokes about the press secretary's name, accused her of “lying” and commented on her eye shadow.
She said:
Every time Sarah steps up to the podium I get excited because I’m not really sure what we’re going to get – a press briefing, a bunch of lies or divided into softball teams.
The counselor to the president also found herself the subject of a few jokes and didn’t appreciate the jarbs. She told Hannity:
When the president of the White House Correspondents Association stood up and said, ‘An attack on one journalist is an attack on all journalists’, well, folks, think about this: Is an attack on one woman, or two women, an attack on all women?
People online found her words to be problematic for, well, obvious reasons.
They pointed out that the US president - to whom she is employed - has a...history: his disparaging remarks about women on multiple occasions are well documented, as are accusations made by women about his alleged sexual misconduct.
Others brought up US election, and the way in some Republicans spoke about Democrat Hillary Clinton.
It got awkward.
