Listerine has released a new rainbow mouthwash bottle and LGBT+ people are confused

Pride season is almost upon us. And you know what that means: merch, lots of merch.

Each year brands attempt to bolster their woke credentials or show solidarity with LGBT+ people by launching Pride campaigns and merchandise. These rainbow products have become as much of a fixture of Pride season as drag queens and glitter.

Though it’s fair to say that these branded products have become gradually more "out there" as the years go on. In the UK, there was recently a debate over whether M&S’s “LGBT sandwich” (lettuce, guacamole, bacon and tomato) had taken things too far.

But now it’s America’s turn.

Mouthwash brand Listerine has released a new “rainbow” mouthwash and, well, it’s leaving an unexpectedly bitter taste in the mouth. To put it lightly, gay people on Twitter are not impressed with the rainbow bottle.
