Good Morning Britain/ ITV/ Twitter
Jennifer Arcuri, the US businesswoman who is embroiled in a dispute with Boris Johnson over an alleged relationship with the prime minister, has today appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain.
Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, Arcuri refused to admit whether she had an affair with Johnson, who was mayor of London at the time but did add that they had a 'very special relationship.'
I'm not going to answer that question but as you can tell there was a very special relationship there.
This follows on from an interview that Arcuri did with ITV's Exposure strand on Saturday evening, where she said that Johnson had 'cast her aside like a gremlin.'
I don’t understand why you’ve blocked me and ignored me as if I was some fleeting one-night stand or some girl that you picked up at a bar, because I wasn’t – and you know that.
And I’m terribly heartbroken by the way that you have cast me aside like I am some gremlin.
However, her appearance this morning, which was apparently to 'clear the air' didn't impress someone. And that someone is renowned performance artist Lorraine Kelly.
Shortly after Arcuri's interview had finished, the cameras cut to Kelly's studio where she usually previews what is coming up on her show.
Responding to Piers Morgan, the Scottish broadcaster said:
That was crazy wasn't it? What's the point? Coming on and not answering any questions?
What's the point in that? Anyway.
Sensing that something was brewing, the cameras then cut back to Arcuri who seemed unaware of what was about to go down.
Addressing her directly Kelly said:
It doesn't make any sense. What's the point in you coming on and not saying anything.
An obviously shocked Arcuri then questioned what Kelly was going on about but the presenter didn't relent.
What's the point in you coming on the telly, to clear the air and then not say anything?
In response, the American said:
Well, I believe I said a few things. What was it that you were looking for me to say?
Kelly continued to stand her ground.
You didn't answer any of the questions that were put to you. I just don't see the point of you coming on, to be honest.
Kelly then decides enough is enough and decides to get on with her segment.
However, the damage was done and footage of the incident was soon all over Twitter and people couldn't get enough of it.
