This confrontation between Marco Rubio and Alex Jones needs to be seen to be believed

We're not sure how he keeps doing this but, despite his website being practically removed from every platform on the internet, Alex Jones keeps finding a route into the news.

Just last month Jones' InfoWars website was banned by a host of social media sites and media platforms.

This prompted the conspiracy theorist to have a little meltdown and spout more nonsense about social media sites attempting to silence conservative voices online.

Things have been a little quiet for the 44-year-old since then but, on Wednesday, he managed to get himself into a remarkable confrontation with senator Marco Rubio.

Their clash came after a congressional hearing with executives from Facebook and Twitter on whether there will be any foreign interference in November's midterm elections.

After the hearing, Rubio was answering questions from the press but, to his surprise, or possibly confusion, he was confronted by Jones who proceeded to heckle him like a bad punter at a stand-up comedy show.

As Rubio attempted to answer questions from the press Jones, who Rubio admitted that it didn't have any awareness of who he was, continuously spoke over him to the point where he patted the Republican on the shoulder, which the politician did not appreciate.

Get your hand off me. Don't touch me again, man.

Jones then claims that Rubio will try to get him arrested, but the Florida senator has other ideas.

You're not going to get arrested. I'll take care of it myself.

Jones responded by turning to the camera and saying:

Rubio just threatened to physically take care of me. Look at him, he's so mad.

You're not going to silence me. You're not going to silence America. You are a little gangster thug.

Jones then aims an insult at Rubio by calling in a "little gangster thug".

It didn't quite come to blows but the fact that Rubio just offered to fight Alex Jones is probably the most 2018 thing ever.

Now, we hate to endorse any sort of violence but we can't help but be intrigued as to how this fight would play out.

No doubt it would be awful but it would probably do more money than the recent KSI vs. Paul Logan boxing match were it on pay per view.

Just like us the rest of the internet is curious as to how this 'clash of the titans' would go down.

To be honest, this woman's face summed up the entire incident.
