It's Met Gala time again.

The annual, super-exclusive benefit for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is where the most outrageous fashion is born.

Tickets are incredibly expensive ($35,000) and the guest list is chosen by Vogue staff (though Anna Wintour is said to have a heavy hand in the selection process).

The theme this year is Camp: Notes on Fashion, to compliment an upcoming exhibition at the museum, inspired by photographer Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay 'Notes on Camp'.

Outfits will be based on "irony, humour, parody, pastiche, artifice, theatricality and exaggeration".
