Single father in Thailand wore a dress for Mother's Day so his children can celebrate

A single father of two melted hearts everywhere after footage of him in a dress went viral.

Chatchai Panuthai, ‘Sam’ has two children - five-year-old Ozone and three-year-old Imsome - and lives in Thailand.

On the 12 August the country celebrates its annual Mother’s Day celebrations. Last week, his sons’ school in Kanchanaburi held a Mother’s Day event. Part of the ceremony had children kneel at their mother’s feet and give thanks for everything she’s done.

Panuthai showed up to the celebrations in a dress.

His friend, Kornpat Ae Sukhom recorded the cute moment on video and shared it on Facebook, where it was viewed more than six million times.

He told BuzzFeed News that he is divorced from his wife, who now resides in Europe, and wore a dress because he didn’t want his children to feel left out.
