If you want to get the most out of your cheeky Nando’s, a former employee is revealing the chain’s secrets.

It turns out the one thing you should probably stay away from, are olives.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury, the former employee says the salty snacks are not, apparently, a value for money. You will only get eight or nine olives, cushioned with large pieces of garlic. At £3.60 a pot, it’s not worth it.

The former employee imparted some knowledge to maximise your Nando's experience:

1. Always order the chicken breast

It contains the most chicken.

2. Be experimental for off-menu dishes

You can make a Nando’s burrito by ordering a chicken wrap and a side of spicy rice. Put the rice in the wrap and you have a burrito!

3. Use the ‘secret menu’

This includes ordering chicken with the Peri tamer sauce, cheesy mash for garlic bread and swapping out your burger bun for two slices of garlic bread.

A Nando's spokesperson said: "Our popular spicy mixed olives starter is served by weight, using the same slotted spoon in every restaurant."
