No, this is not CCTV footage of a tiger on the loose in Paris

A video purporting to be of a tiger on the loose near Disneyland Paris has been viewed more than 10,000 times since being uploaded to YouTube on Thursday and has been written up by a national newspaper website.

However the footage, uploaded by user 'Reporters without borders' yesterday, is at least eight months old and according to a google reverse image search not even of a tiger. Several reports of the CCTV footage claim that is actually a video of a dog and leopard in Mumbai.

French police are currently searching for what locals fear could be a "young tiger" on the loose just outside Paris. Yesterday a man claimed to have taken a photograph of the big cat in a supermarket car park in Montevrain, near the French capital.
