Motherhood is supposed to come in all shapes and sizes.

However, according to some, being a mother is not a fit-all-sizes kind of role.

Model Monica Riley, who weighs 50 stone and wants to be in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fattest woman in the world, went on This Morning for an interview about her size.

Riley, from Texas, who is funnel-fed by her partner Sid, told presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that she is planning to have a baby.

Willoughby told Riley that her weight was a danger to her health.

To which Sid, her partner, replied:

That’s just like every time I light up a cigarette.

Did they want to have a baby one day?

Riley said:

Yes, we would like to have children. If a doctor did tell me I had to lose weight in order to conceive then I think I would lose weight.

People who had seen the show took to Twitter...

While others pointed out the potentially exploitative nature of having her on the show in the first place…

Amidst all of the opinions, one person called for people to keep theirs to themselves...

The NHS says that being overweight increases the risk of complications for pregnant women and their babies and that the higher a woman's BMI, the higher the risks.

These can include miscarriage, gestational diabetes, shoulder dystocia, blood clots and pre-eclampsia.
