Mo Farah cinched his second gold medal of the 2016 Rio Olympics on Saturday, bolstering Team GB's record-breaking medal count of 66.

The UK is second in the league table with 27 golds. Rio has been our most successful Games ever, with our athletes outdoing even our home Games performance in 2012.

The nation is in a jubilant mood.

There is one man, whoever, for whom 66 medals, historic firsts, new records, and second place in the world after the mammoth USA is not quite good enough.

That man is Piers Morgan.

A tweet from last week is still doing the rounds since the UK has managed to hang on to our second place position.

Piers definitely knows how much dedication it takes to win gold.

Overcoming all sorts of personal challenges, injuries and illnesses to represent your country at the highest level?

Save it.

Only the best is good enough.

Olympian swimmer and silver medallist Chris Walker-Hebborn probably put it best:

More: Mo Farah just made Olympic history and British people are going wild

More: Show this stat to anyone who says Britain only wins at sports no one cares about
