Pete Buttigieg posted a bizarre photo of himself 'walking' and people think it's staged

This weekend, Pete Buttigieg – aka Mayor Pete, aka the Democratic candidate that no one seems to like and yet we just can't shake – posted what should have been a fairly innocuous tweet.

It showed him walking into down a corridor which, according to the caption, leads straight to Iowa. And that's not even the weirdest part.

So far, so generically cringe. But it actually gets worse, because people on the internet are convinced the whole thing is staged and that he wasn't even actually walking.

Here's the evidence:

1. Both his feet are on the floor

2. His arm positioning makes no sense

3. The surroundings are just a bit too familiar

Obviously, people had lots of jokes.
