Republican Senator Jeff Flake met his match in a town hall meeting about Planned Parenthood. An eloquent, fierce 16-year-old young woman.
In his own Arizona district of Mesa, Senator Flake met with his constituents to defend his stance on women's reproductive rights, abortion and contraception.
Like almost other Republican senators, Flake voted in favour of Trump's most recent piece of legislation that restricts women's health care.
The ruling allows states to block federal Title X funding for clinics that perform abortions.
The ruling further reduces access to women's healthcare, contraceptives and family planning - particularly low-income women and young people without parents.
Of all the organisations that will suffer, Planned Parenthood stands to lose the most as America's largest abortion provider.
But one teenager had a few things to say to the senator...
There are some speeches that have the greatest impact via their words alone.
And then there are some, like this one, where the power is also in the speaker.
My name is Deja Foxx, and I'm a 16-year-old from Tucson.
I just want to state some facts.
So I'm a young woman and you're a middle-aged man.
I'm a person of colour and you're white.
I come from a background of poverty, and I didn't always have parents to guide me through life.
You come from privilege.
So I'm wondering, as a Planned Parenthood patient,
And someone who relies on Title X, who you are clearly not...
Why is it your right to take away my right to choose Planned Parenthood,
And to choose no-co-pay birth control, to access that?
So if you can explain that to me, I would appreciate it.
