Owen Smith finally conceded his defeat to Jeremy Corbyn on Saturday afternoon, stating that the Labour leader had enjoyed a “clear win in this leadership contest”.

Well done Owen.

Anyone remember this though?

Appearing on The Andrew Marr Showtwo weeks ago, the MP for Pontypridd was asked "on a scale of one to ten how likely are you to win?", to which he replied:

Oh, ten, absolutely. Never answer seven and a half, Andy, always say ten.

Who looks a little silly now then..?
