Robert Pattinson blew up his microwave – and the internet with it – all in one fell swoop.

The 34-year-old English actor attempted to make a “pasta pillow” (aka a handheld pocket of pasta, cheese and sauce) during a recent interview with GQ Magazine and let’s just say please don’t try this at home.

Using cornflakes as breadcrumbs, nine packs of pre-sliced cheese, sauce, a burger bun and some penne pasta, the Twilight actor started by placing a bowl of pasta sitting in water in the microwave for eight minutes.

Then, he mixed sugar with cheese and placed it on a sheet of foil in a separate microwave, which he didn’t believe to be a microwave.

But sure enough – moments after turning it on, according to GQ:

A lightning bolt erupts from the oven/microwave, and Pattinson ducks like someone outside has opened fire. He’s giggling and crouching as the oven throws off stray flickers of light and sound.

One final bang went off and the microwave went dark.

Pattinson then remarked:

Yeah, I think I have to leave that alone.

The bizarre interview was shared on social media and it wasn’t long before the jokes rolled in:

Who knew one interview could go off with such a bang...
