Sarah Jessica Parker has a message: everything is fine.
The Sex and the City star has spoken out about her relationship with co star Kim Cattrall in an interview with People magazine.
The comments were published days after Kim Cattrall publicly called out her "cruel" co-star in an Instagram post following her brother Chris Cattrall’s death.
Parker had extended her condolences to Cattrall by commenting on an Instagram post:
Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx
In an Instagram response, Cattrall wrote:
I don't need your love or support at this tragic time.
People magazine notes Parker is "not responding" to the comments although someone "close" to the fashionista had this to say: “When Kim’s brother went missing, Sarah called and texted Kim privately offering her support. When asked about her brother’s passing on a red carpet, Sarah conveyed again her condolences and love.”
While she won't discuss the Instagram post, Parker is commenting on the pair's relationship – insisting there was no "feud" with Kim Cattrall because she never "responded" to reports of a rift.
I never responded to the conversation Kim had with Piers Morgan [where she said that the two co-stars had never been friends.]
As for her relationship with Cattrall in the future?
We had this experience and it was amazing, and nothing will ever be like it.
We had a connection with an audience, and we had a connection with the city and with this crew, and we got to tell these crazy stories with each other. So I don’t want to mess with that. I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing that part.
So there was no fight; it was completely fabricated, because I actually never responded."
Case closed.
