This heartbreaking video lists every school shooting in America since Trump became president

How many school shootings have there been in America in the past 3 years?

As a heartbreaking video has shown, the answer is far too many.

The video, which has been viewed 1.3 million times on Twitter, begins with footage of American President Donald Trump saying “We’re doing a lot on gun safety”. It then goes on to list every school shooting that has taken place in the US since Trump took office at the beginning of 2017.

At the end of the video, it’s noted that Trump has “consistently sided with the NRA” and that the gun lobby has spent “$30 million to elect him”.

The video was posted to Twitter by billionaire and former Mayor of New York City Mike Bloomberg, as part of his 2020 presidential election campaign.

Bloomberg tweeted:

August saw two high profile mass shootings in America in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. At the time, Trump said that he planned to propose new laws in the autumn, but these have not yet been released.

In the meantime, there have been 263 school shootings on the president's watch. Two-hundred and sixty three.
