BBC News presenters are supposed to be impartial and show no favouritism or personal preference when it comes to reading the news.
However, Simon McCoy seems to be the exception to this rule, especially when it comes to the royal family.
This was evident last year when the due date of Price Louis was confirmed, leaving McCoy utterly bemused as to why this was even news.

This lack of enthusiasm hasn't waned in any particular way from McCoy's demeanour, who is positively thrilled to be covering today's royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
In fact, he's been excited about the event since it was announced in November.

As the big day has drawn closer, McCoy's twitter account has been a joy to follow (only if you aren't a royalist).
One day to go. Taking more pictures at Windsor today. Some day my prints will come. #RoyalWedding2018 #BBCNews— Simon McCoy (@Simon McCoy) 1526627866
McCoy's approach to the wedding has been winning a lot of admirers online, who are perhaps a little fatigued for royal wedding hysteria.

At least McCoy's co-host Jane Hill doesn't have to put up with him all the time...

Still, it doesn't look all that bad. Poor chap is probably just really tired.
