Everyone thinks the Spice Girls are getting back together

The Spice Girls are getting back together for the first time in six years, if reports are to be believed.

Ginger Geri Horner, Sporty Melanie Chisholm, Baby Emma Bunton, Scary Melanie Brown and Posh Victoria Beckham are to gather in London today for a secret business meeting, according to the The Sun.

The paper's associate editor and editor of the daily Bizarre column Dan Wootton claims Mel B will be flying in from Los Angeles today to meet up with the other members.

He's also reported that each member will get £10million each for new projects, which are believed to include a compilation album of their best hits, a TV talent show and commercial deals.

Simon Fuller, the music mogul who managed the group through the peak of their success, is said to be leading the project. He was seen this afternoon arriving at Geri Horner's home in Hertfordshire, where all the members reportedly gathered.

On Friday afternoon, Posh shared a photo of all the girls, the first time the group have been pictured together since 2012. She captured the snap:

Love my girls!!! So many kisses!!! X Exciting x

Baby Spice shared the same picture to her Instagram account, further fuelling reunion rumours. Her caption read:

Great catch up with my girls! #bffs always... the future is looking spicy!

And Ginger Spice shared the same image on her Instagram too. Her post read:

Lovely seeing the girls #girlpower is alive and well

While Dan Wootton's insider revealed the revelation to him on Thursday, no official announcements on a reunion have been made by the Spice Girls, Simon Fuller or their representatives.

Reports of a Girl Power reunion have hit headlines numerous times over the last few years. In 2016, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the group, Geri, Emma and Mel B formed a trio called ‘Gem’ – but the venture never quite got off the ground.

Ginger toldRed magazine last year:

It got to the point where I just had to let it go.

Melanie C is one Spice Girl who has turned her back on a reunion in the past.

In 2017, the 44-year-old said on The Nightly Show with Davina McCall that there is no chance she would reform as a four piece without Victoria Beckham.

It has been thought till now that Posh would not be part of any reunion, but an 'insider' told The Sun she will finally reunite with the group after it was agreed she would not have to sing:

This is the pop reunion no one thought would ever happen again.

But after a long period of negotiation Victoria agreed the time is right  to work on new projects this year.

It’s very exciting because she has always been adamant she wouldn’t go back.

Buy many fans will be disappointed over the reports that the group will not embark on a live tour. The insider added:

Victoria and Geri agreed it would be impossible to be part of a  fully-fledged tour because of family and business commitments.

Now that she’s a top designer Victoria is concerned about singing but she wants to make money to pump back into her business.

Some fans reacted to the news with excitement and the hashtag #SpiceGirls soon started trending on Twitter.

Others however, questioned reports of the Spice Girls reunion. This user wondered why the announcement included details of a project in China.

One Spice Girls fan page tweeted:

Some people weren't so keen on the idea:

The band topped the charts around the world with hits like Wannabe, 2 Become 1 and Spice Up Your Life and last performed together at 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony.

The last time they toured was in 2007 with The Return of the Spice Girls tour, which took $107.2 million after 17 sold-out nights at the O2 and other shows in Canada, USA, Spain and Germany.

Other dates in China, Australia, South Africa and Argentina were cancelled however, reportedly due to family commitments.

indy100 contacted representatives for members of the Spice Girls and Simon Fuller, but none had responded at the time of publication.

But who knows... maybe friendship never ends after all.
