Fleetwood Mac are still going strong but if Steve Nicks ever falls on hard times, she should know that there’s a back-up plan waiting for her.

More than 20,000 people have got behind a campaign to get her to work at a McDonald's in Fleetwood, Lancashire.

Because Fleetwood McDonald's…

Fleetwood Mac…

That’s literally it.

.

The campaign, set up by “Be Reet”, is asking for Nicks to work a very short shift from 8am-11am on Saturday 28 September.

As for other details, the event lists itself as a “party” and has the following description:

Sell me fries, sell me sweet little fries.

This also isn’t Be Reet's first brush with viral fame, as he's had success with other campaigns, such as “Nirvana Reunion With Chad Kroeger From Nickelback On Vocals” and “Smoking Spice With The Spice Girls”.

NME asked McDonald’s about the campaign, who said this:

We’ve heard some rumours that Stevie Nicks might be keen to visit our own Fleetwood Macs. Next time she’s in the area we’d be delighted to welcome her for some sweet little fries before she goes her own way…

A Fleetwood Mac spokesperson has not yet commented on the campaign.

While fans wait for a response from Nicks, they’ve been using the page as an excuse to post Fleetwood Mac puns.

How did "Fillet Oh Daddy Fish" miss out on the top five?!

Unfortunately, not everyone got the joke.

Oh dear...

We don’t know Tom, it seems unlikely we’re going to see a member of Fleetwood Mac in Fleetwood Mac any time soon, but weirder things have happened.

Last time we checked, 3,400 people were planning on "going" to the event, while more than 19,000 people were interested, so it looks like Stevie's first shift is going to be a busy one.
