Taxi driver discovers ‘drunk’ passenger was actually dead

A New York taxi driver was met with a spine-chilling discovery after carrying out what they thought was an ordinary journey.

An unidentified person hailed the cab in the early hours of Tuesday and instructed the driver to take a woman to a nearby address in Queens, a police source told the New York Post.

Then they reached the destination, a friend of the woman came up to the vehicle and noticed she was unconscious.

The driver then took the woman and her companion to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 5.49 am, police told the news site.

Cops are now said to be investigating and the city’s medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
