In an attempt to flog a £50 football shirt, Blackburn Rovers have produced what must be considered this season’s most bizarre kit launch.
Set to the dulcet tones of Barry White, Blackburn fanatic and minor celebrity Alan Birkbeck, visibly perspiring with excitement, makes his way to the Ewood Park club shop to buy the new 2014/15 home kit.
The Rovers marketing department seems to be on to a winner - either working to the mantra of ‘no publicity is bad publicity’ or at least giving Middlesbrough a run for their money in terms of naff pre-season videos:
